Becoming an Ambassador
You’ve placed yourself between others and harm before. Whether in a career or in a voluntary role, be it
in firefighting, pre-hospital care, policing, military or community service. You may be retired or still in
active service.
When you become an Ambassador, it is all about the needs of the Member and the peace of mind of the Patron.
Ambassadors are the critical link between Members, Patrons and the services available. You will be the
trusted one. Trust is earned. And then it must be earned again. Each day. Each exchange.
Trust.
Virtue.
Integrity.
They are not mere words.
You must possess the qualities my Grandmothers valued:
Character.
A wise person said, “character is more important than courses”.
Virtue.
You are committed to acting in ways that benefit others and the greater good.
Honesty.
Compassion.
Patience.
Courage.
Integrity.
You have strong moral principles. You know your values and you act consistently with those
values.
Grit.
This speaks to character. It also speaks to an unconscious drive. A drive within you served by your
perseverance and a passion for seeing things through. You won’t let Members down.
Empathy.
You feel with others. You can not only understand another person’s experiences; you take action to help.
Humility.
You’ve been in service to others before. You should be proud. You had to carry some ego in order to complete your missions, but in this role, you must be able to harness ego and know it is all about the Member.
Pride without ego.
Self-assuredness.
At times, you may have had to use bravado to complete your mission. Courage is not the absence of fear. It is overcoming fear to do what you know needs to be done.
We ask that you replace bravado with self-assuredness. Knowing yourself and your capabilities. Knowing you are in service to the Member and being able to serve their needs without ego or bravado.
Listener.
A Grandmother said, “those who speak least learn most”. Your Members and Patrons deserve to be listened to and heard.
Bonded or Bondable.
You will be in a position of trust. We have rules of engagement and zero tolerance policies you must commit to. We must protect the Member, the Patron and the integrity of their trust.
If you have these qualities, submit your Expression of Interest through this link:
We will reply and move with purpose to verify if this is a good fit for you.
Thank You.
