Enraged Rules of Engagement, Code of Conduct, Ethics & Zero Tolerance Policy
I. – Purpose
This Policy is intended to establish rules of engagement, a code of conduct and ethics framework to govern the decisions and actions of Enraged Alliance Inc (“Enraged”), its officers, employees, Ambassadors, service providers, suppliers and affiliates.
This Policy outlines the values and standards with which all Enraged employees, Ambassadors and affiliates must conduct themselves to avoid even the appearance of improper behavior.
Our Members, Ambassadors, Patrons, stakeholders, employees, and the public expect standards of conduct from all representatives of Enraged.
II. – Scope
This Policy is intended to guide those activities engaged by all Enraged stakeholders, Ambassadors, employees, service providers and product suppliers. Everyone’s personal conduct reflects not only that individual, but may, depending on the circumstances, also have an adverse impact on the trustworthiness and reputation of Enraged. Although the various matters dealt with in this Policy do not cover the full spectrum of permitted and prohibited activities, they are indicative of Enraged’s commitment to the maintenance of its standards of conduct and are to be considered as guidelines for the type of behavior expected from all those associated with Enraged.
III. – Policy
Enraged stakeholders, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers and employees are expected to conduct themselves in all matters involving their association with Enraged, their Members and the public in a manner that is fully consistent with standards of behavior that the public expects of Enraged and upon which our reputation rests. At all times, the behavior of those covered by this Policy must reflect and not compromise the trust of our Members, Patrons, Ambassadors and stakeholders.
Their actions and relations with Members, Patrons, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers, stakeholders, employees, colleagues, affiliates, the public and each other will be driven by the core values that shape Enraged.
To that end, Enraged stakeholders, employees, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers and affiliates will:
1. Acquaint themselves with and adhere to Enraged’s mission, vision, values, principles, and policies.
2. Not participate in, condone, or engage in dishonesty, fraud, deceit, misrepresentation, illegal activity of any kind, or other misconduct that may adversely impact Enraged, its Members or its reputation.
3. Recognize and safeguard the sacred trust Enraged must earn from Members, Patrons, Ambassadors, service providers and product suppliers.
4. Comply with Enraged’s policies that address specific areas of conduct and ethics:
• Confidentiality Policy [provide link once approved]. Enraged stakeholders, employees, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers and affiliates must respect and protect Member and Patron confidential information. Such information can be easily abused. All stakeholders, employees, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers and affiliates will not disclose any confidential information of Enraged without express written permission of the President and CEO.
• Conflict of Interest Policy [provide link once approved]. Enraged stakeholders, employees and Ambassadors must recognize and take steps to avoid conflicts of interest and the perception of conflicts of interest to protect the interests and reputation of Enraged, its officers, employees, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers, affiliates, Members and their Patrons.
• Abusive Behavior, Non-Discrimination & Harassment Policy and Workplace Anti-Violence Policy [provide links once approved]. Enraged has zero tolerance for discriminatory, harassing, and violent behavior. This applies to abusive behavior whether physical, sexual, emotional and mental health related. Any such behavior, if of a potential criminal nature, will immediately be reported to the appropriate legal authorities for investigation and action. In addition, an internal action will remove the accused from any interactions with Members, their Patrons, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers, employees, stakeholders and affiliates until both the external and internal investigations are completed. Enraged believes in the premise of innocent until proven guilty, however in consideration of the sacred trust extended to Enraged by Members and their Patrons, assurances must be maintained Enraged’s ultimate precautionary approach is protecting all. Proven inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Such behavior includes written or spoken comments as well as overt actions. When proven, such actions will result in severance from Enraged in addition to the outcomes determined by legal authorities.
• Privacy Policy [provide link once approved]. Enraged stakeholders, employees, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers and affiliates must understand Enraged’s commitment to respecting the privacy of personal information of individuals, and how we collect, retain, access, use, protect, disclose, and dispose of personal information. The privacy of information pertaining to Members and their Patrons is sacred.
• Zero Tolerance Policy (provide link once approved). Enraged has a zero tolerance for abusive behavior from one toward any other. This extends to, but is not limited to, physical, emotional and mental health harm that may result from criminal and/or antisocial behaviors directed toward another whether based on faith, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, political views, or any other topic where a person or persons might use such differences to harm another, or to incite.
Enraged respects that Canada and the world are filled with peoples from varying races, diverse cultures and ethnicities of origin. Enraged and its employees celebrate diversity. There is zero tolerance toward any criticisms or attacks against any culture and ethnic origin. In the event of any such attack, whether verbal, emotional or physical, the suspected perpetrator(s) will be immediately suspended, an investigation will be immediately launched, and if the suspected offence may be criminal in nature, the appropriate authorities will be contacted. If proven, after internal and external investigation, the perpetrator(s) will be severed from Enraged and the legal system will be relied on to complete its responsibilities.
Enraged and its employees respect all faiths, however faiths will not be promoted or discussed in any form in the operating of Enraged and the provision of services and products to Members and their Patrons.
Enraged and its employees respect the individual regarding sexual orientation and gender identity. There is a zero tolerance toward any criticisms, ridiculing, persecuting, or otherwise harming any individual, whether verbal, emotional or physical, based on that person’s sexual orientation and gender identity. In addition, the excuse of humor will never be accepted. In other words, declaring, “I was just joking” will not be accepted as a defense or as grounds for forgiveness. In the event of any such attack, whether verbal, emotional or physical, the suspected perpetrator(s) will be immediately suspended, all contact from and by that person with Members, their Patrons, service providers, product suppliers, employees, Ambassadors and affiliates will be prevented, an investigation will be immediately launched, and if the suspected offence may be criminal in nature, the appropriate authorities will be contacted. If proven, after internal and external investigation, the perpetrator(s) will be severed from Enraged and the legal system will be relied on to complete its responsibilities.
Enraged respects that people carry different political views and opinions, however politics will not enter Enraged in any form. There will be no promotion of any political system, party or ideologies in, around and through Enraged.
5. Follow Enraged’s Media Policy [provide link once approved] regarding public comments and contact with the Media.
6. Understand that while Enraged respects the right of employees and Ambassadors to use social media for professional purposes, or to express their ideas and opinions in online forums, blogs and on other sharing platforms, any views expressed by Enraged employees and Ambassadors who visit, use or post to any websites, blogs, wikis, mobile applications, etc. (“social media”) as a medium of self- expression are strictly those of the individual and do not reflect views of Enraged. When using social media for personal use and when identifiable as an Enraged employee and Ambassadors on personal sites, individuals must be aware of their role in the organization and the potential impact of their communications on Enraged’s reputation and values, and any implicated Enraged stakeholders including employees, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers, Members and their Patrons. As such, Enraged employees and Ambassadors who decide to post on social media should always act appropriately and with good judgment. Enraged employees and Ambassadors may not disclose confidential and proprietary information on social media and should always exercise good judgment by communicating respectfully and without compromising relationships with Enraged, its employees, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers, affiliates, Members and their Patrons.
Any and all information on social media is considered public domain information which may be legally accessed and reviewed by Enraged. Social media postings made while at work or on personal time may be used as evidence to support disciplinary action, regardless of whether such posting was made using Enraged assets.
IV. – Procedures
a) It is the responsibility of:
• the Chair of the Board of to ensure that Board Members understand and comply with this Policy and related policies; and
• the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to ensure that employees, Ambassadors and affiliates understand and comply with this Policy and related policies.
b) Individuals will be asked to confirm in writing that they have reviewed the Policy and agree to comply with the Policy when joining Enraged as an employee or an Ambassador and all will be required to review the Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy annually and attest to having reviewed the policy.
c) This Policy is supported by the Whistleblower Policy [provide link once approved], which creates the conditions and process by which serious violations or potential violations of this Policy can be raised without fear of harassment or retaliation.
d) Breaches of this Policy will be considered a serious matter. Employees who violate this Policy will be subject to disciplinary action up to, and including, termination of employment. Enraged will also take appropriate action in relation to affiliates who violate this Policy. If it is alleged that an individual has not been in compliance with this Policy, a review or an investigation will be conducted under established procedures for specific policies, or if there are none, under the auspices of the CEO based on the circumstances. The format of a review or investigation may vary, depending on the nature and circumstances of the incident or complaint.
e) This Policy will be communicated to all Enraged employees and Ambassadors and will be posted on the Enraged website.
f) The Vice President, People and Culture is responsible for the administration of this Policy. If employees, Ambassadors, service providers, product suppliers, Members or their Patrons have any questions about the Policy generally or any questions about reporting a violation of the Policy, they may contact their respective Ambassador or any employee they trust including the CEO.
V. – Future Policy Changes
Enraged expressly reserves the right to change, modify or delete portions of this Policy without notice.
